Dr. Donna Furrey, BABL, MEd, MEd, EdD
Dr. Furrey is a graduate of Northeastern Bible College, William Paterson University and Nova Southeastern University. She has been a part of the R.C.S. faculty since 1978. In addition to serving as school administrator, Dr. Furrey teaches two math classes and a Biblical Worldview class. Teaching is her passion! She serves as the president of the Northern New Jersey Christian School Association and on the advisory board of the MidAtlantic Christian School Association. She has written numerous magazine articles and the children’s book, God, Where’s My Daddy?
Mrs. Regina Bernstein
Mrs. Bernstein grew up right here in Ringwood. She and her husband Rick have three children who are alumni of Ringwood Christian School and she now enjoys watching other kids grow up and graduate with a heart for God!
Mrs. L. Barlow, BS
Mrs. Barlow graduated from Cairn University (previously known as Philadelphia Biblical University) with a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, as well as a BA in Bible. Growing up attending Christian school herself, Mrs. Barlow has a passion for Christian Education and is thrilled to be joining the R.C.S. staff this year. When she is not teaching, Mrs. Barlow enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Mrs. Jessica Truran, BS
Mrs. Truran graduated from Nyack College with a BS in Childhood Education, and concentrations in English with TESOL as well as Bible. She has explored the field of education from public gardens to administration, but her heart is at home in the classroom. She is overjoyed to join the RCS family. She is a lifelong learner who aspires to write a children’s book, grow her own food, and make God’s love known to everyone she meets.
Mrs. M. Clark, BABL MEd
Mrs. Clark majored in Bible and Elementary Education at Northerneastern Bible College. She graduated with a BA in Biblical Literature and her certification in elementary education. She and her husband, Bruce, have been married for over 25 years and have one son, Bill, who is an alumnus of R.C.S. Mrs. Clark joined the faculty in 1995 as the second grade teacher and has served as the school’s yearbook editor for several years.
Miss C. Bush, BS
Miss Bush grew up in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Elementary Education. She believes that every child is unique and created in the image of God, and she is passionate about helping them grow in their relationship with Christ. She is thrilled to be joining the RCS team this year and is looking forward to the great things God has in store.
Miss K. Wilkins, BS
Originally from Sussex County, Miss Wilkins attended Indiana Wesleyan University, graduating with a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in music. She has taught both in an Indiana public school as well as an international school in Wuxi, China. A huge passion of hers is encouraging others in their walk with Christ through summer camp ministry, missional work, and everyday life. Some of her favorite experiences have been being a camp counselor, working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon, and developing relationships with people from other cultures. Besides traveling and experiencing God’s amazing creation, some of her other interests include rock climbing, skiing, and most things artsy. Miss Wilkins considers it a blessing and a privilege to be a part of RCS and is excited for all the things taking place this year in fourth grade!

Mrs. D. Carlsen, BA

Mrs. Carlsen earned her BA from Ramapo College of New Jersey with dual majors in Literature and American and International Studies. She worked for two fortune 500 companies for twelve years as senior purchasing buyer and analyst before going back to school to earn a teaching certificate. She completed the New Jersey New Pathways to Teaching, a Master’s level program with Jersey City University. Mrs. Carlsen and her husband, Mark, have four children, who have all attended RCS.
Miss D. Lincoln, BABL, MEd
Middle School English, Literature, Spanish
Miss Lincoln has lived in the northern New Jersey area for her entire life. She earned a BA in Biblical Literature from Northeastern Bible College with New Jersey teaching certification. She also graduated William Paterson University with an MEd in Language Arts. She joined the faculty in 1978 as a middle school teacher. She teaches English, Literature, and Spanish. In addition, Miss Lincoln directs the all-school musicals and the school’s singing group, “His Sheep”. In 1994 Miss Lincoln received the distinguished “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” award.
Mrs. T. McLaughlin, BA
Music & Band Director
Mrs. McLaughlin is thrilled to be a member of the R.C.S. teaching staff this year. She is a graduate of Crane School of Music (B. Mus. Ed.), SUNY Potsdam and The University of New Mexico (M. Mus. Perf.). She has been teaching music and playing the trumpet for over thirty years. Along the way, she home schooled her four children for a total of nineteen years, teaching each of them to play piano, string and brass instruments. Presently, Mrs. McLaughlin is a freelance professional trumpet player and also loves to sing and play piano as part of the Worship Team at Living Word CMA Church. Mrs. McLaughlin and her husband (band director at West Milford High School) enjoy hiking and backpacking. Her passion is to help young people develop musical skills that will remain a joyful personal outlet, as well as a possible opportunity to serve the Body of Christ for years to come.
Mrs. S. Bysterbusch, BS
Mrs Bysterbusch is excited to be back at RCS teaching art classes this year. She graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in Anthropology and Elementary Education. She has previously taught in Kindergarten and PreK. When not in the classroom, Mrs Bysterbusch loves spending time with her husband and 5 children (3 of which are RCS students). Some of her favorite things to do are reading, cooking, volunteering at her church’s GEMS girls’ program, running and long days at the beach.
Miss Megan Van Schepen, BA
Physical Education, Technology
Miss Van Schepen grew up in North Jersey where she attended and graduated from Eastern Christian Schools. She graduated from Cedarville University with a B.A. in Physical Education and a minor in Bible. Outside of school Miss Van Schepen enjoys crocheting and spending time with her family.
